SUNDAY

  • Wider community participation and Morning Worship with Hope Lutheran Church & Student Center

  • Evening time of Fellowship

  • Dinner together (when safe)

  • Evening Worship, with music and student testimony 

MONDAY

  • Monday is frequently a day of recharging and planning for the week ahead, coordinating prayer partners and student volunteers for worship roles 

TUESDAY

  • stART, an afterschool mentoring program focused on school skills like music, math, and art, bringing together College Park elementary students with UMD student volunteer tutors and a professional math tutor 

WEDNESDAY

  • Wednesdays are key days to support learning series, such as Advent, Lent, or book club meetings

  • En Camino, an afterschool tutoring program focused on strengthening math, reading, and social skills for Langley Park elementary students 

THURSDAY

  • CARing, an afterschool mentoring program focused on cultivating service and justice, connecting elementary and university students to partner for outreach projects in the community, in addition to time for homework help 

FRIDAY

  • The Joyful Noise student musicians' group meets for recordings or rehearsals of praise music

  • Fridays are popular days for enrichment events, like leadership meetings, anti-bias training, and game nights 

SATURDAY

  • Saturday is the usual meeting time for (Re)Born This Way, a group for LGBTQIA+ Christian student support and celebration, in which Humble Walk is actively involved  

MORE

Additional activities during the pandemic have included online game nights, coffee hour conversations, Bible study, stream outdoor clean-ups, and Inter-faith events

IN THE FUTURE

When the pandemic ends, we look forward to an intentional Unplugged Retreat at Mar-Lu-Ridge, an adventurous Ocean City retreat, the Leadership Team Retreat, End of the year trip, Spring Break service-learning trip, Intramural Sports, and more!
